About me:

A Yoga practitioner for over 18 years and a professional Yoga Coach for 5 years, I currently offer my services as Online Yoga coach for clients with various issues like overweight, diabetes, thyroidism, hypertension, concentration issues, mental health issues etc. I also provide yogic guidance for pregnant and postnatal clients.

Previously, I have offered my Yoga services to Corporates; also worked as Yoga faculty at Jyoti Nivas College, Bangalore.

After post 6months of my delivery, I started yoga for the first time. I was a bit sceptical about my capacity of doing yoga, but all thanks to Kavana as she modulates the yoga postures and program as per my need. Considering the lower back pain, she conducted few classes focussing more on the back and that helped me tremendously. I could regain my strength back and work more smoothly than earlier. After a few classes, I realised that yoga is a physical fitness program that has all other forms of exercise in it. We need nothing else if we have yoga as it brings physical health and more importantly peace and overall feeling of well-being. Kavana has a deep understanding of Indian classic yoga. I liked her way of teaching yoga in a traditional way by using the Sanskrit names for all the asanas and chanting the mantras while doing Surya namaskar. She helped me several times with my body aches using the appropriate asanas. My favourite was the Shavasana or the relaxation therapy – I used to feel so much relaxed and full of energy after practising.
Another important aspect of Indian yoga is meditation and she helped us practice mediation using proper breathing techniques – I really liked the cyclic meditation as it helped me become calmer under her guidance. I had a great experience with Kavana and I would love to join her offline classes, whenever she resumes.

At a time when I was juggling many things, starting yoga classes with Kavana helped bring peace of mind, flexibility and reduced various aches and pains from COVID work-from-home in less than ideal circumstances.
There’s so much variety to look forward to, following different yoga styles. Every class follows a structure – pranayama, standing, seated asanas, lying down asanas, cool down. Kavana tailors the classes with so much thought that each class helps address a different aspect. Mental health/rest and restoration are not left behind – she offers cyclic meditation classes too, thrown into the mix periodically.
Classes are very interactive, not monotonous and Kavana is happy to spontaneously change things up based on the needs of the students. She also provides helpful explanations so we understand what asana we are doing, why, and what benefit it offers.

I enjoy her yoga and meditation sessions a lot! She gives her 100% during the one-hour session. I have never felt boredom with her.
